About Me

My name is Taylor Dayne Carrasco, and I am a junior journalism and digital media innovation major at Texas State University with a May 2027 graduation date. I come from a small town, but I have big dreams of traveling and living in a city where I can create and share stories of people, their culture and their achievements. I am passionate about writing, creating and working in sports media. My current goals are to study abroad in Japan and to attend graduate school. Both opportunities will help me further my education and skills in journalism, as well as digital media. Long-term wise, I hope to one day work in the NFL or MLB as a sports reporter, as my love for writing and sports has deep roots. My experience ranges from camera operation, social media content creating, beat reporting and website creation. However, I am always expanding my knowledge of media and communication skills. I am currently practicing photography and working in food service.

Outside of my ambitious personality, my other passions are film and music. I am dedicated to watching movies and reviewing them whenever possible. As for music, I must have my Spotify open at all times in order to survive. If I am not doing either, you can find me trying new places to eat, drinking an iced coffee or matcha, or shopping. Currently residing in San Marcos, Texas, I tend to enjoy the many possibilities of The Square. Born and raised in Monahans, Texas, I have always yearned to do anything other than go to Sonic and hang out with my friends in a parking lot. As I mentioned, I have a huge love for sports. No longer on the diamond, but you can catch me watching the Los Angeles Dodgers, Texas State, or a nearby team playing in my free time. I tend to yell at my TV during Sunday Night Football as well. I yearn to be a woman who works In sports!
